No, there's no money involved.
Yes, it does mean that I have to do additional writing.
But, am I excited?
ABSOLUTELY!!!
My 150 word pitch to Nature Geosciences was selected as one of the winners to publish a 500-word, full page spread "blog" post about my GeoStory - the paper that got me into the geosciences.
While I can't tell you much about it yet, I will say it involves Hawai`i, "poop water," and a kayak.
However, check back in to this blog post when the article comes out and I'll provide the link, submission text, and submitted photography then.
